The storage stack is one of the most critical components our hardware manager handles. It is important that it can saturate any modern NVMe device and handle complex I/O patterns, but there is also a unique opportunity to design the optimal API for high-performance, low-friction storage access (this is not yet another standard POSIX implementation).

What you will do:

Work on storage stack internals
Research and implement various optimizations
Work on improving existing and adding new drivers

What we are looking for:

Deep understanding of storage architecture, devices, and optimizations
Strong low-level systems knowledge
C and Rust
1-5 years of professional experience

Nice to have:

Experience working with SPDK and io_uring
Experience working on the storage layer of a complex system
Experience writing drivers (NVMe preferred)
